Apfelbeck, Rosemary (Marriage - 23 June 1948)

Miss Rosemary Apfelbeck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Apfelbeck, and Lyton Weber, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Weber of Athens, were united in marriage last Wednesday morning, June 23, at St. Mary’s Catholic church. Rev. N. B. Beschta officiated at the ceremony and celebrated the nuptial high mass.

The bride wore a gown of white satin and net styled with fitted bodice and satin appliquéd flowers on the deep round yoke of net, long sleeves and a bouffant skirt of net with appliquéd satin flowers. Her long veil, which was fastened to a coronet of pearlized orange blossoms also had appliquéd satin bows. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and white carnations centered with Madonna lilies.

Miss Lucille Apfelbeck, sister of the bride as maid of honor, wore a gown of blue marquisette with wide peplum and full skirt. Her wrist corsage was made up of tinted blue and white carnations. A headdress of blue net with blue and white carnations completed her attire.

Mrs. Clifford Weber of Wausau, and Mrs. Edmund Bankert of Rozelville, were bridesmaids in identically styled gowns and matching headdresses. Mrs. Weber in yellow marquisette, wore a wrist corsage of yellow and white carnations, and Mrs. Bangert, in pink organdy, wore a wrist corsage of pink and white carnations.

Little Miss Dorothy Apfelbeck, the bride’s sister, wore a gown of white ninon with blue ribbons and sash. Her white net head piece was fastened with white carnations and she carried a colonial bouquet of pink roses and white carnations.

Claude Apfelbeck, brother of the bride, was best man. Clifford Weber and Edmund Bangert served as the groomsmen. The ring bearer was Robert Apfelbeck, the bride’s brother.

Dinner and supper were served to about 150 guests at the home of the bride’s parents. Later in the evening, the guests enjoyed dancing at the Trianon Ballroom.

Out of town guests were Mrs. Edward Wendert and daughters, Jean and Joyce, of West Allis, Clyde Weber of Milwaukee, Leon Apfelbeck and Miss Violet Stillman of Chicago, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Jack Trambly of St. Petersburg, Fla.
