Lindberg, Ruby Joyce (Marriage - 14 Feb. 1948)

Miss Ruby Joyce Lindberg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lindberg of Abbotsford and Darrell F. Sossaman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace W. Sossaman of Colby, were united in marriage Saturday afternoon, Feb. 14th, 1948, at the Presbyterian church at Abbotsford, Rev. G. E. Griffiths reading the marriage ceremony. The bride’s sister, Mrs. Walter Wolfe of Wausau, was matron of honor and the groom was attended by his brother, Claude. The bride’s brother, David Lindberg, and Donald Schiebe were ushers. The bride was given in marriage by her father. The wedding march was played by Mrs. Wm. Berger and Miss Joyce Merwin sang "Oh Promise Me" and "Oh Perfect Love."

The bride was attired in a grey pin striped suit with brown accessories and her corsage consisted of red roses and white carnations. The matron of honor wore a black suit with black accessories and her corsage consisted of white and pink carnations. The bride’s mother wore a blue crepe dress with light blue accessories and her corsage consisted of carnations and gladiolas. The groom’s mother wore a brown suit with black accessories and her corsage consisted of white carnations and gladiolas.

A 5:00 o’clock wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents, and, in the evening, a reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents in Colby, Wisconsin.

The couple will make a wedding trip in about three weeks to Waterloo, Iowa, where they will visit the groom’s aunt. The couple will make their home in Milwaukee where the groom is employed by the Hot Point Electric Co.

Wedding guests included the bride’s grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Bayer of Abbotsford, Mr. and Mrs. W. Sossaman, Colby, the groom’s grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Tessmer of Colby, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wolfe of Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Sossaman, Herman Sossaman, Phyllis Sossaman, Marie Anderson, Ray Kesteloot and Howard Jensen, all of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Billeb of Medford, Rev. G. E. Griffiths, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kleinstick and daughter, Miss Bernice Bielke, Mrs. Albin Lindberg and daughter, Miss Eunice Larson, Mr. and Mrs. John Fecker, Mrs. Wm. Berger, Miss Joyce Merwin, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Phaneuf and family, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Amacher and Niel Reiderbuch, all of Abbotsford, Wisconsin.
