Prokopiak, Rachel Ann (Marriage - August 25, 2007)

Miss Rachel Ann Prokopiak, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Prokopiak of Thorp, became the bride of Philip Earl Mohr, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Mohr of Cadott on August 25, 2007, at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig Catholic Church, Thorp. Reverend Fr. Keith Apfelbeck officiated the 1:00 p.m. wedding mass. Soloist was Jason Wittek, friend of the bride, with Tammy Barth as pianist.

The bride, given in marriage by her mother and father, wore a full length strapless satin gown with lace apoplexies flowing down to a set waist. The skirt had lace by the hem line and a chapel length train with beading. She wore a sterling silver tiara beaded with crystals and pearls with a cathedral length veil with crystal beading on the edges. She carried a bouquet of live peach roses, buttercup hydrangea, calla lilies and stephanotis. All the flowers were made by the bride’s sister, Lana Prokopiak.

Hailey Mohr, daughter of the groom, was flower girl, and Tucker Pawlak, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer. Both were dressed identical to the bride and groom.

The bridesmaids wore identically-styled blue turquoise satin spaghetti strap gowns with beading on the waist line flowing down to an A-line skirt.

Maid of honor was Lana Prokopiak, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were: Amber Prokopiak, sister of the bride; Phyllis Dombrowski, cousin of the bride; Amanda Person and Mary Teclaw, friends of the couple; and Ashley Pogodzinski, friend of the bride.

Bet man was Nate Mason, friend of the couple. Groomsmen were: Travis Mohr, brother of the groom; Chris Mason, Jeremy Eichelt and Jarrett Anderson, friends of the couple; and Nathan Maier, cousin of the bride.

The groom wore a black tuxedo with tails with a matching white bow tie and vest with a peach rose and stephanotis. The groomsmen were attired the same as the groom with bow ties and vests matching the bridesmaids’ dresses.

Ushers were Terry Maier, uncle of the bride, and Brandon Maier, cousin of the bride.

Personal attendants were Melanie Maier, cousin of the bride, and Crystal Starck, friend of the couple. Ushers’ bow ties and vests matched the personal attendants’ dresses, one in peach and one in buttercup.

After the wedding, the newlyweds honeymooned in Hawaii on the island of Oahu for a week.

The couple resides in Menomonie.
