Hamm, Mrs. Geo. (Sept. 1841* - June 1916)

Hamm to which union was born seven children, four sons: Jake, John, Joe and George and three daughters: Mrs. Geo. Ackermann, of Hoard, Mrs. Enoch Hempfner, of Holway, and one girl who died in infancy.

In 1882, 34 years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Hamm took up a homestead near here upon which she lived until her death. Mr. and Mrs. Hamm shared the pleasures and trials of married life for 52 years and on Nov. 22, 1914, celebrated their golden wedding.

Funeral services were held at the Catholic church at Holway Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Schwab of Stetsonville officiating. E. J. Fuchsgruber conducted the funeral services.

* Transcriber Note: Census reports show George & Margaret Hamm living in Hartford, Washington County, then in Holway, Taylor County, WI. Daughter’s first names Mary (Ackerman) and Anna (Hempfner). George born in Germany/Prussia June 1841, immigrating 1844. Margaret (Margrett, Margareta) born in Germany/Prussia/Bavaria Sept. 1841, immigrating 1852.
