Flink, Betty Jane (Marriage - 31 May 1947)

Betty Jane Flink, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Flink, and Clifford B. Schweke, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Schweke, exchanged marriage vows Saturday, May 31, at the Trinity Lutheran church at Unity, Wisconsin, Rev. J. A. Olson officiating. Miss Elaine Domer was maid of honor and Mrs. Norman Uecker and Mrs. Donald Prehn were bridesmaids. The groom was attended by Elmer Bruss as best man and Norman Uecker and Donald Prehn as ushers.

The bride’s gown was designed with a lace bodice with sweetheart neckline, three-quarter length sleeves, full skirt of organdy with ruffle at the bottom, fingertip veil with net appliqué, headdress of orange blossoms. Her bouquet consisted of white roses and lilies with ribbon streamers. The maid of honor and bridesmaids wore identical dresses of white nylon dotted swiss, sweetheart neckline, short puffed sleeves and full skirt. Their bouquets consisted of white carnations with ribbon streamers.

A reception was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Flink and dinner was served at the church parlors which was decorated with white bells, streamers, a three-tier wedding cake, candles and flowers.

The couple left on a wedding trip to Milwaukee and Wisconsin Dells and will be at home after June 7th on the groom’s farm east of Spencer, Wis.
