Beyerl, Agnes (Marriage - 17 May 1947)

Miss Agnes Beyerl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Beyerl, and Aloysius A. Seftar, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Seftar of West Allis, exchanged marriage vows Saturday morning at a nuptial high mass at St. Mary’s church. Rev. N. B. Beschta officiated at the double ring ceremony. The couple was attended by the bride’s sister, Miss Cecelia Beyerl, maid of honor, and Miss Mary Beyerl, bridesmaid, and by Carl Erjavetz, a cousin of the groom, and Aloysius Beyerl, a brother of the bride.

The nuptial mass was sung by St. Mary’s School choir with Sister M. Johnetta at the organ.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown made of white slipper satin. A net yoke and full net overskirt, appliquéd with satin flowers and ending in a long train, distinguished the frock. Her fingertip veil was fastened to an orange blossom headdress, and she carried a shower bouquet of American Beauty roses. Her jewelry was a rhinestone and pearl necklace, a gift from the groom.

The maid of honor wore a pink gown fastened with a brocaded satin bodice and peplum and full net skirt. Her bouquet consisted of pink carnations and white lilies tied with white net and pink ribbons. The bridesmaid’s dress, in blue brocaded satin and net, was made identical to that of the maid of honor, and both attendants wore matching veiled headdresses and yellow and rose-gold bracelets, gifts from the bride. The bridesmaid’s bouquet was an arrangement of darker pink carnations and white lilies tied with net and blue ribbons.

Following the ceremony dinner was served to about 50 relatives and friends at the home of the bride’s parents. The house was decorated with blue and white streamers and white bells. After a trip through Northern Wisconsin, the young couple will make their home at 1106 S. 96th street in West Allis, where the groom is a construction foreman.

Friends and relatives from out of town who attended the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Victor Seftar and daughters, Margaret and Josephine, and son, Victor, Jr., of West Allis, Carl Erjavetz and daughter, Ann, of West Allis; Mary Beyerl, Chicago, Ill., Cecelia and Robert Beyerl, Irvin Hillmann, Earl Eckert, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Chris Knauf, Chicago.
