A beautiful fall wedding took place Saturday, Oct 26, at the North Green Grove Church at 2:30 P. M. when Miss Carmen Hotchkiss, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Langfeldt, Greenwood, became the bride of Mr. Albert Novak, son of Mr. and Mrs. Math Novak, Owen, Wis.

The ceremony was read by Rev. M. Goetsch. Mrs. Goetsch played the wedding march and Miss Adeline Goetsch sang "O Promise Me", and "I Love You Truly".

The bride was dressed in a beautiful white brocaded satin gown with a long lace inlaid train. She wore a sea pearl crown with a finger tip veil which was edged with lace. She carried an arm bouquet of pink roses and white chrysanthemums with long white streamers. The bride was received at the altar by the groom.

Miss Violet Hotchkiss, sister of the bride was maid of honor. T3wo other sisters, Mavis and Dorothy were bridesmaids. A gown of aqua taffeta was worn by the maid of honor, while the bridesmaids wore teal blue and aqua taffeta. They wore bluish veils and wreaths to match their gowns. They also wore shoulder corsages.

Janice Langfeldt, half-sister of the bride was flower girl in an ankle length dress of pink taffeta. She carried a basket of mixed flowers. She wore a pink ribbon in her hair.

The groom wore a dark blue suit. He was attended by his brother, Louis Novak, and two friends, Edward Raatz and Alden Hardrath.

William Kovatch, nephew of the groom acted as ring bearer. He carried a heart-shaped pillow of white satin. The bride’s mother attended the ceremony in a soldier blue crepe, and the groom’s mother was in a brown taffeta. They both wore shoulder bouquets.

The reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, which was decorated with white, pink and blue streamers. A white bell was suspended from the ceiling, and the bridal table was centered by a large wedding cake. Covers for supper were laid for 50 relatives and friends.

A dance was held at the Atwood hall in the evening.

Out of town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Lester Hotchkiss, Wausau; Mrs. Roy Drinkwine and family, Prairie Farm; Mrs. Lowell Stevens and family. Boyceville.

Mr. and Mrs. Novak will make their home on the groom’s farm in the town of Green Grove.
