Miller, Florence (Marriage - 8 June 1946)

Miss Florence Miller, daughter of Mrs. Alvina Miller of Abbotsford, and Merlin Schuette, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Schuette of Unity, were united in marriage Saturday, June 8th, at the South Green Grove Lutheran church, Rev. M. C. Goetsch reading the double ring ceremony. Miss Erlene Schuette, sister of the groom, was maid of honor and Jeanette Strade of Curtiss, cousin of the bride, and Irene Schuette of Curtiss, cousin of the groom, were the bridesmaids. The groom was attended by Arnold Miller of Elkhart Lake as best man and Orville Schuette and Edward Miller. Coral Jean Kickbush of Boyd, cousin of the groom, was flower carrier and Adolph Becker of Colby, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. The bride was given away in marriage by her uncle Col. G. E. Ledfors of Langley Field, Va.

The bride was attired in a white ninon dress, tight bodice, long sleeves coming to a point over wrists, square neckline, long veil bordered with lace and caught to a beaded tiara. Her bouquet consisted of lilies and roses. The maid of honor wore a blue ninon dress, short sleeves and tight bodice with a blue blusher veil. The bridesmaids wore identical white dresses with white blusher veils, made as the maid of honor’s. All three had colonial bouquets.

A reception was given at the home of the bride which was decorated with flowers and pink, blue and white streamers. A wedding cake, topped with a miniature bride and groom ornament, centered the table.

After a wedding trip to the southern part of the state, the couple will be at home at the groom’s farm at Unity, Wis.
