Seaman, Laura (30 NOV 1940)

At Three o’clock Saturday afternoon, Nov. 30, 1940, Miss Laura Seaman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Seaman of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. Arnold Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Anderson of Stanley, exchanged vows before the Rev. J.N. Midtlien in the Lutheran parsonage at Stanley.

A wool crepe dress of robin’s egg blue and black accessories was worn by the bride. A corsage of yellow Johanna Hill roses and white chrysanthemums completed her attire. Miss Pearl Schultze, maid of honor, chose a plum colored silk crepe dress with black accessories and a corsage similar to that worn by the bride. Murnie Anderson, brother of the groom, attended as best man. Both wore blue suits.

A supper for immediate relatives and friends was served at the home of the bride’s parents and a reception for about thirty-five guests was held. A dance was given in the evening at Rock-Nee Gardens. Mr. Anderson attended the Stanley High School and Mrs. Anderson attended Thorp High School. After a short honeymoon, they will reside on the bridegroom’s farm at Stanley.

Out of town guests who attended the wedding were the following: Mrs. Margaret McKee and Miss Avis Ann Adams of Polley, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Moucha and family of Cadott; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Baker and daughters Veryle and Bernice, of Sharon, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Anderson and family of Stanley; and Mr. John Anderson and Mr. Ole M. Johnson of Stanley.
