Kathro, Rachael (31 AUG 1940)

Given in marriage by her father, Miss Rachael Kathro, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Wilhelm of Thorp, (Clark Co.), Wis., became the bride of Mr. Victor F. Rosik, Green Bay, Wis., in a ceremony performed by Rev. L.J. Skalitzky, Allenton, Wis., at St. Patrick’s Church, Green Bay, Wis., at 9 o’clock, Saturday morning, Aug. 31, 1940.

The bride was attired in a gown of white taffeta and silk net, and wore a blusher type veil with a crown of orange blossoms; she carried a bouquet of white gladioli and pink rose buds. The matron of honor, Mrs. Dolores Valente, Milwaukee, Wis., only sister of the bride, wore rose taffeta and a flowered ribbonette headband. The bridesmaids, Miss Agnes Driessen, and Julia Rosik, Chicago, Ill., sister of the groom, wore gowns alike of aqua taffeta, flowered ribbonette headbands and carried bouquets of peach gladioli.

Edwin Rosik, Denmark, Wis., brother of the groom, and Harry Rosik, Green Bay, Wis., cousin of the groom acted as best men.

Following the ceremony a dinner was held at the Mae Dury’s to the immediate families. The reception was held at the groom’s parents. The newlyweds will make their home at Green Bay, Wis.
