Zarnke, Hulda (6 Dec. 1897 - 19 Dec. 1945)

Miss Hulda Zarnke, age 49, died suddenly at her home in Colby, Wisconsin on Wednesday evening, Dec. 19th, of a heart attack and funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the Lulloff Funeral Home and at 2:00 o’clock at the First Ev. and Reformed church, Rev. Robert Leonhardt officiating, and internment was made in the Colby cemetery.

Pall bearers were Harold Miller, Ed Witte, Roland Schorer, Fred Schorer, Ervin Schorer. Those in charge of the flowers were Shirley Brehm, Iris Brehm, Roberta Brehm, Verna Zarnke and Ila Zarnke.

Miss Zarnke was born on Dec. 6, 1897, in the town of Hull and always made her home in this community.

Surviving are her father, William Zarnke; four brothers, Oscar and Paul of Colby; William Jr., of Stratford and Otto of Milwaukee; eight sisters, Mrs. Bertha Parmer, Mrs. Harry (Olga) Green, Mrs. Everett (Lillian) Gumms, Mrs. Earl (Leona) Williams, all of Milwaukee; Mrs. J. J. (Helen) Murphy of West Allis; Mrs. Lyle (Irma) Stubenrauch of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Robert (Ella) Unger of Colby and Mrs. Ray (Arlene) Sambs of Leona. Her mother died in October, 1942.

Out of town people here for the funeral were Mrs. Martha Zarnke, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Green and Mrs. Everett Gumm, all of Milan, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Zarnke, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Williams and Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Murphy, all of West Allis, Wm. Zarnke of Stratford, Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel Zarnke, Mr. and Mrs. Art Zarnke and Mrs. Earl Felon of Wausau, and Mrs. and Mrs. George Mklfl and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Arends of Marshfield.
