Neuman, Arthur (4 Feb. 1873 - 21 Oct. 1945)

Funeral services for Arthur Neuman of Riplinger, Wisconsin, whose death was reported last week, were held at the Lulloff Funeral Home Thursday, Oct. 25th, Rev. James Behrens, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran church of Riplinger, officiating, and internment was made in St. John’s cemetery at Riplinger. Pall bearers were Ben Dietsche, Henry Miller, Theodore Dallman and Joseph Prien of Riplinger and Frank Mellenthin and William Domer of Unity, Wis. Darlean Molle and Mardell Neuman were in charge of the flowers.

The deceased was born in Calumet county on Feb. 4th. 1873. He was married to Fredericka Augustine. He died after an illness of three years of dropsy and heart trouble on Sunday, Oct. 21, 1945, thus reaching the age of 72 years, eight months and 17 days. His wife and two children preceded him in death.

Surviving children are Mrs. Ettamay Ewert of Colby, Lawrence Neuman of Unity, Bernard Neuman of Unity, Riley Neuman of Colby, Mrs. Viola Blank of Milwaukee, Mrs. Roma Whitney of Milwaukee and Bernietta Neuman of Unity, Wis. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Ida Molle of Unity and two half brothers, Alfred Burkhart of Thorp, Wis., and Ed Burkhart, address unknown.

The deceased was a good Christian, a faithful husband and father, of an industrial and congenial disposition and was well-liked by all who knew him.
