Becker, Margaret (Marriage - 20 Jan. 1945)

Miss Margaret Becker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Becker of Colby, became the bride of Beuford Apfel, son of Mrs. Lena Apfel of Marshfield, in a nuptial ceremony performed in St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby Saturday morning at 8:30 o’clock, Rev. Francis A. Bienkowski officiating. Miss Mary Lou Becker, sister of the bride and Norbert Lienwander, a friend of the groom, were the attendants.

The bride was attired in a gold wool dress with brown accessories and her corsage, pinned to her shoulder, consisted of yellow roses and chrysanthemums. Her sister wore a light rose wool dress with brown accessories and a corsage of pink carnations.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents for immediate relatives and friends.

The couple are now on a wedding trip to the southern part of the state and will be at home after Feb. 1st at 110 N. Vine Street, Marshfield.

The bride had been employed for the past eight years at the Commonwealth Telephone Company at Colby, Wis. The groom was recently honorably discharged from the army, after being in service two years, and is now employed by the Northern Auto Supply Company at Marshfield.
