Herman G. Schubert

Herman G. Schubert, 64, W4465 County Road M, town of Greenwood, died at 4:25 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2006, at his home.

Two funeral services will be held. A Jehovah's Witnesses service will take place at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, with Mr. Wayne Lindberg officiating. A Roman Catholic service will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, with The Rev. Gerard Willger officiating. Both services will take place at the Hemer Funeral Home. Schubert will be cremated.

Visitation will run from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, at the Hemer Funeral Home in Medford and Tuesday at the funeral until the time of service at 1 p.m.

Schubert was born on Oct. 29, 1941, in Medford, and married Georgia A. Shadrick on July 5, 1991, in Crystal Falls, Mich. She survives and resides in the town of Greenwood, Wisconsin. He worked at Weather Shield Manufacturing for 29 years before retiring due to ill health in 2001.

He is survived by two daughters: Ann (special friend Scott D. Williams) Schubert, and Janine (fiance Edward Becker) Schubert, both of Medford; two sons, Herman J. "Buddy" Schubert, Wausau, and Joseph Schubert, Medford; two step-daughters, Sandi (David) Helgeson, Granton, and Shelli (Todd) Niewolny, Medford; one sister, LaVonne (Chuck) Thillen, Medford; three brothers, Herbert O. (Karen) Schubert, Rib Lake, Richard (Janice) Schubert, Medford, and Fred Schubert, Chippewa Falls; nine grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
