Kilty, Lorraine Florence (Marriage - 15 Aug. 1942)

Miss Lorraine Florence Kilty, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Kilty of Unity, and Harvey Dan Gottschalk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gottschalk of Colby, were united in marriage at a candlelight ceremony which took place Saturday evening at 7:30 o’clock at the Trinity Lutheran church at Unity with Rev. J. A. Olson officiating. Baskets of mixed flowers decorated the church.

The bride wore a street-length dress of brown semi-sheer crepe romaine with white accessories. Her shoulder bouquet was of orange gladioli and baby breath.

Bridesmaid was Miss Myrtle Gottschalk, sister of the groom, who wore a street-length dress of navy blue semi-sheer crepe romaine with white accessories. Her shoulder bouquet was of Tenuifolium lilies.

Kenneth Kilty, brother of the bride, attended the groom. Each wore a navy blue suit. The wedding march was played by Mrs. Walter Wieland, and "Precious Love" was sung by Mrs. J. A. Olson.

Approximately 50 guests attended the reception held at the home of the bride, which was decorated with baskets of garden flowers and with pink, blue and white streamers. A large wedding cake centered the table.

The bride attended the Unity, Wis. High school. The groom is employed at the William Schultz farm at Unity, Wis. They will make their home with the bride’s parents, Unity, route 1.

Wedding guests included Mr. and Mrs. Orvil Baumgart and family of Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Kilty and family, Mrs. Mary Banebib, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Kilty and son, Richard, all of Edgar; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gottschalk and family, Mrs. Mary Dietmeyer and son, all of Colby; Wm. Schultz and family, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Kilty and daughter, Allene, the Rev. and Mrs. J. A. Olson, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Atcherson and daughter, Marlea, and Mr. and Mrs. John Schaller and son, Robert, all of Unity, Wis.
