Engeldinger, Hedwig (4 Apr. 1905 - 16 Sept. 1941)

Mrs. Albert Engeldinger died at the State General Hospital at Madison Tuesday night at 6:30, a brain tumor being the cause of her death. She had been ill two months. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic church Saturday morning at 9:30, Rev. L. J. Lang officiating, and internment will be made in the Colby Catholic cemetery. The body will remain in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby until the funeral services.

The deceased was born at Stratford, Wis., on April 4, 1905, thus reaching the age of 36 years, five months and twelve days. She was married to Albert Engeldinger at Rockford, Ill., on June 18, 1934, and immediately after their marriage moved onto the farm of Mr. Engeldinger’s father in the town of Colby which he purchased and where they have lived ever since.

Surviving are her husband, her father, Mr. John Kaiser of Stratford, and three children, namely: Bernadette, age six; Arnold, age five, and Arthur, age 3. Also four brothers and three sisters - George, Charles, Walter and Myron Kaiser of Stratford, Mrs. Ed. Orth of Manitowoc, Mrs. Henry Lackas of Woodland and Mrs. Anton Wojti of Two Rivers.

The deceased was a faithful member of St. Mary’s church, the Catholic Protective Association and the Christian Mothers’ Society. She was of a congenial and industrious disposition, lived an honest and Christian life and always considered the welfare of her family.

Funeral services for Mrs. Albert Engeldinger, whose death was reported last week, were held at St. Mar y’s Catholic church Saturday morning, Rev. L. J. Lang officiating and internment was made in the Colby Catholic cemetery. Pall bearers were John Frinak, George Allar, Matt Allar, Leon Steinwand, Arnold Steinwand and Louis Jakel. Those in charge of the flowers were Lavina Theurer, Bernice Kaiser, Elaine Kaiser, Celia Kaiser, Marion Kirsch and Dorothy Hughes.

Out of town people here for the funeral services were John Kaiser, Mr. and Mrs. George Kaiser, Mr. and Mrs. Chas.
