Matson, Anna Caroline #2 (20 Jan. 1868 - 30 Mar. 1941)

Mrs. Victor Matson of Unity died at 1:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the Marshfield hospital, where she had been a patient since March 23, a complication of ailments being the cause of her death. Funeral services will be conducted this Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Trinity Lutheran church, Rev. J. A. Olson officiating.

Mrs. Matson, nee Anna Caroline Peterson, was born in Trondhjem, Norway, Jan. 20th, 1868, and came to the United States in 1872. She was married in Michigan Sept. 20, 1890, to Victor Matson.

The Matsons lived in Calumet, Michigan before coming to reside on a farm west of Unity 35 years ago.

Mrs. Matson, a member of Trinity Lutheran church since 1908, is survived by her husband and six children, Mrs. William Kelpy and Emil and Alfred Matson, all of Unity, and Mrs. Fred Ewald, Mrs. Ed. Matson, and Mrs. John Vickerson, all of Detroit, Mich. Two children preceded her in death.

There are also 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
