Erickson, Arleen (20 JUN 1940)

Before an altar decked with peonies, Arleen Erickson, daughter of Mrs. Wilhelm Erickson of Racine, made her nuptial vows which made her the wife of Edward M. Trnka, Loyal, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Trnka of New Prague, Minn. Father Aloys Zinthefer received their marriage consent which was followed by a nuptial Mass in St. Anthony’s Church, Loyal, Wisconsin Thursday, June 20. Miss Pauline Detic of Milwaukee acted as the bride’s attendant, and T. F. Nowak of Loyal acted in the capacity of best man.

The bride wore a redingote ensemble of white silk jersey with a corsage of roses and sweet peas. Her large white off the face hat formed a pleasing contrast to her dark hair arranged in simple style.

Her attendant was attired in a Madeira embroidered jacket dress of pink. The costume was completed with a white lacy picturesque hat and white accessories; and a shoulder corsage of roses and sweet peas. Both the groom and the best man wore oxford gray.

After a wedding breakfast at Hotel Charles in Marshfield, the couple left on an extended trip through northern Wisconsin. They will reside in Loyal where Dr. Trnka has an established practice as chiropractor.

Before her marriage, Miss Erickson former Loyal High School instructor, was supervisor of vocal music at the West Milwaukee Schools during the past years. Miss Detic who is the head of the Social Studies in Pershing School, came to Loyal especially to act as the bride’s attendant.

The Tribune joins with other friends in extending best wishes to Dr. and Mrs. Trnka.
