Erickson, Iver #2 (17 JAN 1862 - 15 MAY 1939)

Iver Erickson, age 77, was born Jan. 17, 1862, in Gulbrandsdalen, Norway, and passed away at his home on Monday May 15, 1939, at 10 o’clock a.m., from complications due to old age.

He came to America when a young man and settled on his present farm one and one-half miles west of the village (Curtiss, Clark Co., Wis.). He was married in 1888 to Helene Kankrued, who passed away in 1928. There is left to mourn, three sons, Emil E. of Dorchester, Wis., , Alfred of Curtiss, and Cornell on the home farm; one sister and two brothers in Norway. There are nine grandchildren.

Mr. Erickson visited his home in Norway in the summer of 1914.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 18, at two o’clock p.m. from the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rev. W.L. Anderson will have charge of the rites. Burial will be on the family lot in the parish cemetery..

With Mr. Erickson’s passing, another pioneer of the town of Hoard is gone.
