Barts, Lydia (Marriage - 31 Aug. 1940)

Miss Lydia Barts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Barts, and Mr. Arthur Weideman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herb Weideman, were united in marriage Saturday, August 31st, at the town of Wien church, Rev. Nothbom reading the marriage ceremony. May Weideman, sister of the groom, was maid of honor and the groom was attended by Harvey Barts, Jr., brother of the bride.

The bride was attired in a dress of white satin with long train and veil and matching accessories. Her shower bouquet consisted of roses and forget-me-nots. The maid of honor wore a satin dress of deep rose and head veil with matching accessories and her arm bouquet consisted of roses and carnations.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, the home being nicely decorated with blue, rose and white streamers for the occasion. Covers were laid for 200.

In the evening, a wedding dance was given at the Trianon pavilion.

The young couple will make their home at Abbotsford where the groom is employed as truck driver for Kalepp Bros.
