Werner, Rosetta A. (1 Feb. 1934 - 26 Apr. 2007)

Rosetta A. Werner passed away at the Valley View Healthcare Center in Saratoga on Thursday, April 26, 2007. She was 73 years of age.

Rosetta Ann was born on February 1, 1934, in Withee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Harry and Alice (Wenzel) Hansen. She was born on a farm in Wisconsin and while she was growing up there she was always known as "Rosie".

She went to work for United Airlines, where she met her first husband, Fred Knowles. They were married in 1958, and he preceded her in death. She later received her nursing degree and went to work for the IBM Company in Boulder, Colorado. She later became a nursing supervisor at IBM. While she was employed there she met her second husband, Henry "Hank" Werner. They were married Dec. 26, 1980, in Boulder, Colorado. She retired from the IBM Company in 1996 after 24 years of service.

She was a member of the Tri City Elks Club, the American Legion Auxiliary, the VFW Auxiliary, and the Encampment Historical Society.

She is survived by her husband Hank Werner of Encampment, Wyoming, two daughters, Julie Bolen and husband Doug of Orchard, Colorado, and Elizabeth Knowles of Loveland, Colorado, one stepdaughter Carrie Adams, granddaughter Lindsey Bolen, step-grandchildren, Erin Hadenfeldt, Mike Adams, Kelly Adams, T.J. Adams, Travis Adams, and one great-grandson Bodie Hadenfeldt, one sister, Florence Ottenger of Chicago, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her first husband Fred Knowles, three sisters, Dorothy, Feora, and Lora, two brothers Clifford and Francis.

The family is gathering Saturday, June 23, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Tri-Cities Elks Club to remember Rose, and invite all who knew her to drop by and share their memories.
