Laski, Allan James (10 May 1961 - 21 Nov. 2004)

HAUGEN, Wis. - Allan James Laski, 43, of Haugen, Wis., died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2004, from a fatal gun shot wound.

Al was born May 10, 1961, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, Wis. He attended Owen-Withee High School and graduated in 1979. Al furthered his education at WWTC-Eau Claire, Wis., by achieving his degree in wood techniques. He married Pamela Peissig on Sept. 11, 1982. Al and Pam have three children, Aislinn, Gwendolyn and Adam. He loved his family deeply. Al managed various UBCs (United Building Centers) throughout Wisconsin and Minnesota for 21 years beginning with UBCs in Stanley, Wis., Lake City, Minn., Detroit Lakes, Minn., Monroe, Wis., and Rice Lake, Wis., where he was the current manager of the Rice Lake UBC store.

Al was an avid outdoor sportsman. He loved to fish, hunt and watch the Packers play. Al enjoyed many elk hunting trips with family and friends out west.

Al Laski is survived by his wife, Pam (Peissig) Laski of Haugen; daughters, Aislinn (Scott) Koenig of Eau Claire and Gwendolyn at home; a son, Adam also at home; parent, Jim and Stella (Harycki) Laski of Owen, Wis.; and a sister, Linda (Mark) Levan of Stoddard, Wis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 27, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Haugen, with Father David Oberts officiating; interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, and from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church Saturday.
