Timmler, Edwin (6 Sept. 1863 - 8 Sept. 1942)

Edwin Timmler passed away at his farm home in the town of Pine Valley at nine a.m. Tuesday. Having gone about his morning chores, there was no indication that he was not feeling as well as usual until but a short time before his death.

Last Sunday, Sept. sixth, Mr. and Mrs. Timmler celebrated their fortieth wedding anniversary and Mr. Timmler’s 79th Birthday, inviting in a few of their old friends for the day.

Mr. Timmler is survived by his wife, two sons, Frederick and Edwin, and a by a step-daughter, Mrs. Clarion Counsell.

Funeral services will be held at the Schiller Funeral Home at two p.m. Saturday, the Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating.

Funeral services for Edwin John Timmler were conducted Saturday afternoon, Sept. 12, at the Schiller Funeral Home, the Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating. Burial was made in the Neillsville Cemetery.

Mr. Timmler had reached his 79th birthday on the Sunday previous to his death, the date selected by Mr. and Mrs. Timmler for their wedding forty years ago. The anniversary date was observed by inviting a few of their old friends in for the day.

He was born September sixth, 1863, in Washington County, Wis., to Frederick and Wilhelmina (Moehrl) Timmler. He grew to manhood and received his education in his home community.

On the sixth day of September, 1902, he was married to Mrs. Clara Clemens in the town of Farmington, Washington County, Wis. They were the parents of four children: Fred, Edwin, Agnes and Harvey. Miss Agnes was accidently shot and killed at the age of fourteen, Harvey dying in infancy.

Mr. Timmler is survived by his wife and sons, Fred and Edwin, and by a step-daughter, Mrs. Clarion (Henrietta) Counsell and by seven grandchildren. He also leaves a brother, John Timmler, Marathon County and a sister, Mrs. Lena Beer of Wauwatosa, Wis.

In attendance at the funeral from distant places were: Mrs. John Hein, Wauwatosa; Mrs. Otto Klein, Waubeka; Mrs. William Dettman, Albert Dettman, Harvey Dettman and son, Karl, Robert Dettman, and son, Merlin, Random Lake; Emil Dettman, Mrs. Julius Yahr, Mr. and Mrs. John Wendt, Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Wendel, Mrs. Bertha Wendel, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Frohman, Boltonville; Dr. and Mrs. Arthur Dettman, Bonduel; Mrs. Joe Pruce, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Heineman, Lake Mills, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Frauenheim, Kewaskum; Mr. and Mrs. William Gruhle, West Bend.
