Meseberg, Cyril R. (15 Jan. 1919 - 4 Jan. 2005)

Cyril R. Meseberg, 85, 211 Brooklyn Ave., Edgar, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

He was born Jan. 15, 1919, in Granton, son of the late William and Rose (Schroeder) Meseberg. On May 2, 1942, Cyril married Dorothy Schultz in Edgar. She survives.

He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and an usher at St. John Catholic Church. In 1980, he retired from the Marathon County Parks Department. Among his many interests, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, bird watching, golfing, bowling and card playing.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, Edgar; three children, Janice (Louis) Kwiatkowski, McFarland, James (Susanne) Meseberg, Wausau, and Deborah Weber, Wisconsin Rapids; four grandchildren, Christopher Weber, Wisconsin Rapids, Jason Kwiatkowski, Madison, Stacie Dettweiler, Belleville, and Nicole Weber, Wisconsin Rapids; three great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Austin and Eli; and one brother, Muriel (Theresa), Wausau. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Aimee Rae Kwiatkowski; his great-grandson, Dustin; three sisters and five brothers.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. The Rev. Norman Boneck will preside. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the church.

Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar, is in charge of arrangements.
