Kidd, Nancy E. (27 AUG 1938)

Miss Nancy Elliott Kidd, daughter of E.W. Kidd, was married to John Kennedy of Palo Alto, Calif., at a very informal and quiet ceremony at 3:45 Saturday, Aug. 27th, 1938, at the summer home of Mr. and Mrs. A.R. Owen at Lake Owen, Drummond. The service was performed by the Rt. Rev. Bishop Frank D. Wilson of Eau Claire and Father R.E. Ortmayer of Owen, Wis.

Miss Kidd, after graduating from the Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) schools, entered Kemper School at Kenosha, where she was graduated in 1932. She then entered Vassar, where she completed her course of study in 1936. Since that time she has been an assistant in research work at the University of Yale.

The groom is the son of John S. Kennedy of Sacramento, Calif., president of Sacramento College.

The groom is a graduate of the Universities of Brown, research department at Dartmouth and has a Fellowship at Dartmouth. At the present time he is in the Psychology department at Stanford University, Calif.

The couple are taking a trip through Yellowstone National Park and other points of interest enroute to their new home at Palo Alto, Calif. They will be at home after October 1st.

Among the guests attending the wedding were Clem Thompson, Lake Forest, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Sargent of Hartford, Conn.; Mrs. John Curtiss of Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. M.H. Duncan and son, Myron, Mrs. H. Griswold and Beverly Duncan, Owen; Mrs. John G. Owen, John G. Owen, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. R.W. Owen and son, David, Mrs. L.W. Davis, Jr., Wm. Davis, Jr., Mrs. D.R. Moon, Mrs. Josephine Wylie and Ralph Wylie, Rt. Rev. Bishop Frank D Wilson and wife, all of Eau Claire, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. LaPointe, Jr. of Menomonie; Miss Mary Blaire Wilson of Menomonie; Don Kennedy of Cleveland, Ohio; and Mr. and Mrs. A.R. Owen, Wis.
