Funk, Beryl (30 JUL 1938)

Miss Beryl Funk, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Funk of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), was united in marriage to George Jerome Flaatten, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Flaatten of Withee, at a quiet but beautiful ceremony performed by the Rev. Mortenson at the Lutheran Parsonage at Kahoka, Mo., at noon, July 30th, 1938. The young couple are very well known to residents of this community, both of the young people having lived in Owen and Withee since childhood.

The bride is a graduate of the Withee High School and has won the admiration of many for her abilities as a musician.

The groom is a graduate of the Owen High School with the class of 1934. Until about five months ago he was employed as a clerk in the store of George Kuehl at Withee. Since then he has been employed at the Case Co. at Burlington, Iowa. The young couple will make their home at Burlington.

Their wide circle of friends sincerely wish the newlyweds a happy wedded life.
