Barth, Jean Charlene (4 May 1929 - 22 Sept. 2007) Barth, Nickel, Nauds,

Jean Charlene Barth, age 78, of Owen and formerly of Neillsville passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at Clark County Health Care Center in Owen, Wis.

She was born on May 4, 1929, in Neillsville to Herbert Nickel and Lydia Nauds. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She loved gardening, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters, Janel (James) Thur of Neillsville, Mary (Mike) Esser of Marshfield and Molly (John) Drock of Grand Rapids, Mich.; brother, Herbert Nickel, of Germantown; two sisters, Sharon Youngblom of Pillager, Minn., and Judy Brode of Beaumont, Texas; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Virginia.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, at Bible Baptist Church, 700 E. 15th St., Neillsville, with the Rev. Mark Fugate officiating.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Clark County Health Care Center for the extraordinary care given to Jean.

'You were special to us all. You will always be in our thoughts and in our hearts.'

Cremation Society of Wisconsin is assisting the family with arrangements.
