Mrs. Martha Jane Gorman, 76, died at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield at 2:45 a.m. Monday after twelve weeks of illness with a liver ailment.

Mrs. Gorman was born in the township of Pine Valley April 16, 1866, to David and Maria Cozell. She spent her entire lifetime in Clark County.

On the sixth day of July, 1886, she was united in marriage to Cornelius F. Gorman at the farm home of her parents in Pine Valley. Mr. and Mrs. Gorman were the parents of five children, four of whom are living: Edgar, Chicago; Mary, Mrs. Robert Boness; Elva, Mrs. A. L. Sherman, and David Gorman, all of Neillsville, Wis. A daughter, Maude, died January 15, 1915. Mrs. Gorman was the last survivor of her family. Beside her children she is survived by two grandchildren; Mrs. Melba Boness Campbell and Dale Sherman and a great-grandson, Donald Campbell.
