Wilhelm, Theresa Cathryn (Marriage - 24 Aug. 1936)

A very pretty wedding took place at St. Andrew’s Catholic church at Rozelville Monday morning, Rev. Henry Lachnit officiating at the nuptial mass, when Miss Theresa Cathryn Wilhelm, daughter of Mrs. Rose Wilhelm of Rozellville, became the bride of Mr. Albert Weix, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Weix, Sr., of Colby. The altar was nicely decorated with cut flowers, ferns and candles. Mrs. Joseph Wilhelm acted as matron of honor and Miss Barbara Weix as maid of honor. The groom was attended by Joseph Wilhelm of Rozellville and Dr. Frank A. Weix of Colby.

The bride was attired in a beautiful white taffeta gown made on princess lines with corded puffed sleeves and flounces. Her veil was fashioned in a turban effect with seed pearls and her shower bouquet consisted of pink and white roses, pompon asters and blue delphinium. The matron of honor wore an orchid satin frock with quilted collar and cuffs and of jacket effect with silver accessories and metallic clusters in her hair. Miss Weix wore a green taffeta dress with ruffled jacket with silver accessories and metallic clusters in her hair.

A wedding breakfast and dinner was served about forty guests at the Wilhelm home. A large white wedding bell centered on streamers of green and orchid decorated the dining room. A decorated wedding cake adorned the bridal table.

The newlyweds left on a wedding trip to the southern part of the state and Muscatine, Iowa, and will be at home on the groom’s farm near Colby after September 1st.

Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Alois Wilhelm of Blenker, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Lieck and son, Gilbert, and daughters, Marie and Celia, and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Wiess and family of Stratford, Mr. and Mrs. George Trutel, Mr. and Mrs. William Hopensberger, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Weix, Sr., and son, Ray, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Weix, Jr., and daughter, Marleen, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Weix, Dr. Frank A. Weix and Miss Barbara Weix of Colby.
