Miller, Alice (Marriage - 18 June 1936)

A very pretty wedding took place at the Zion Ev. Lutheran church on Thursday, June 18th, at 2:00 P.M., Rev. O. Hoffmann reading the marriage ceremony, when Miss Alice Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. F. Miller of Curtiss, became the bride of Mr. Willard Becherer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Becherer. Erma Krueger acted as bridesmaid and the maid of honor was Edna Schumacher. The groom was attended by Edward Miller as best man and Frederick Rosenberg as groomsmen. Glen Schumacher acted as usher.

The bride was attired in a beautiful dress of white satin with short puffs and high neck then tight to the wrists, otherwise plain. Her bouquet consisted of roses and mixed flowers. The bridesmaid wore a dress of yellow taffeta and her wrist bouquet consisted of mixed flowers. The maid of honor wore a dress of pink taffeta and her wrist bouquet also consisted of mixed flowers.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents at 4:30 P.M., the home being nicely decorated in white, yellow and pink for the occasion. The newlyweds will be at home immediately at the home of the groom’s parents.

Relatives and friends from out of town present at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Gerhardt Neuhaus, Otto Neuhaus, Edward Neuhaus, Mr. and Mrs. Ed.
