Hubing, Betty Jane (Marriage - 30 May 1942)

In the presence of a few intimate friends, nuptial vows were exchanged by Miss Betty Jane Hubing, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Georg Hubing of Neillsville, Wis., and William Frisby Lowe, of 121 Chestnut Avenue, Long Beach, Calif., son of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Lowe, also of Neillsville, Wis. The rites were performed at nine p.m. Saturday, May 30th in Chapelle Dealva Wedding Chapel, Long Beach, with Rev. Arthur T. O’Bear officiating.

Pink and white larkspur, gladioli and ferns formed the attractive floral setting for the service, which was solemnized in candlelight. The bride wore a jacket suit of turquoise crepe with white accessories and a corsage of white gladioli with white rose bud centers. Miss Lucille Hubing, Terry, Montana, a cousin of the bride, was maid of honor, wearing a beige dress of silk crepe and beige accessories. She completed her ensemble with a corsage of pink cactus blossoms. Gregory Hubing, Los Angeles, also a cousin of the bride, was best man.

A reception following the ceremony was conducted at the apartment of the bride and groom, with Miss Lucille Hubing as hostess. The young couple will reside at 57 Linden Ave., Long Beach, Calif.

Sweetheart since their high school days, these fine young people being their married life upon an ideally equal basis, both being wholesome, sweet of disposition and eager to make the best of their lives. As high school students, they applied themselves closely to the work that built for them a foundation which cannot but bring success and happiness.

Mrs. Lowe is a graduate of the Neillsville High School. She also attended Whitewater State Teacher’s College, and Miss Brown’s school of Business, Milwaukee.

Mr. Lowe was graduated from the same High School and attended the State School of Science at Wahpeton, N. D. He is employed in the Consolidated Shipyards at Long Beach.
