Messing, Delma (Marriage - 12 April 1942)

Miss Delma Messing, daughter of Elery Messing, Granton, and Walter Lueck, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Lueck, Loyal, formerly of Neillsville, took place at the home of the groom’s parents, Sunday, April 12, at three p.m., the Rev. J. C. Langholz officiating in a double-ring ceremony.

The bride’s sister, Miss Roselyn Messing, and Marvin Lueck, a brother of the groom, acted as bridesmaid and best man.

The bride wore a soldier blue street-length dress and a shoulder corsage of rubrum lilies. Her attendant was dressed in a flowered blue dress. She wore a corsage of white carnations.

An archway of pastel shades of crepe paper decorated a portion of the living-room and provided the setting for the ceremony.

A five o’clock dinner was served to immediate relatives at the Lueck home. A large layer cake centered the dining table.

The bride was graduated from the Granton High School, with the class of 1941. She has been employed at Marshfield. The groom attended the Neillsville High School.

The couple will live with the groom’s parents, where they will assist with the farm work.
