Lamovec Rites Are Held on Tuesday at Willard

WILLARD - Funeral Services for Frank Lamovec, 66 year-old retired Eaton Farmer who took his own life last Friday morning, were held Tuesday from the Holy Family Catholic church here. The Requiem low mass was spoken by the Rev. J. J. Novak, pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Greenwood.

The body of Mr. Lamovec was found hanging by a rope from a beam in the barn by his son, Henry, who purchased the farm from his father about a year ago. Deputy Coroner E. H. Snyder of Neillsville said the elderly man had been despondent, and called the death a suicide.

A resident of the town of Eaton since 1919, Mr. Lamovec was born in Polhov Gradec, Yugoslavia, on December 3, 1881. He came to the United States in 1902 and settled in Ely, Minn., where he married Frances Stebley on November 9, 1909. She died in 1923.

Surviving are six children: Mrs. Michael (Frances) Putala of Ashland; Frank of Willard; Albin and Phillip of Chicago; Mrs. Frank (Mary) Koschak of ?; and Henry. Seven grandchildren also survive.

Pallbearers were his four sons and two sons-in-law.

*** Note: correct surname spellings are Gradec, Steblej and Butala
