Leona Esther Stangret and Warren Leroy Jacobs were married at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Stanley at nine o’clock in the morning, Saturday, June 25th, 1938, Rev. Francis Wallace performed the ceremony. The attendants were Casper Stangret, Sophia Stangret and Dorothy Huls. Following the ceremony at the church a reception and wedding dinner were given at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Stangret in the town of Delmar. There was dancing in the evening. Those in attendance from away were Mrs. Netta Warner, Stephen Warner, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Fleihr of Chippewa Falls; Mrs. Rebecca Prouty, Mrs. Mae Vangorder, Mrs. E.J. Nimbar and Terry, Mrs. Otto Colbaum and Gerry, of Withee, and Wm. Quesnell of Huron.

The newlyweds will make their home in Stanley, where the groom, who is the son of Mrs. Netta Warner, has a responsible position with the Gamble Store Co.
