Sivertson, John (24 Dec. 1866 - 13 APR 1938)

John Sivertson passed away at his home in Stanley country on April 13, 1938. His death was due to pneumonia, but he had been an invalid for the past seven years.

Mr. Sivertson was born in Trondhjem, Norway on Dec. 24, 1866. He emigrated to America at the age of twenty-five years, coming to Menomonie where he lived for five years. In 1896 he came to the Stanley country where he has since made his home.

Surviving him are one brother, Ole Sivertson, six nieces, Alma, Selma, Alice and Hilda Haugen, Anna Bye and Mrs. Selmer Samuelson, and four nephews, Philip, Alvin and Jule Haugen and Nels Bye.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Bye and Mrs. Anne Haugen.

The funeral services were held from Our Savior’s Lutheran Church on Saturday afternoon and interment was made in the Lutheran Cemetery north of Stanley. The pallbearers were: Nels Larson, Henry Hendrickson, Ed Karlen, Martin Edwardson, Ernest Dumke and George Johnson.
