Poremba, Joseph (1865? - 21 SEP 1937)

Joseph Poremba died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Stasia Korenkewicz, in the town of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), of cancer, Tuesday morning, Sept. 21st, 1937.

Deceased was born in Poland and had reached the age of 72 years. He came to this county in 1894, spending the greater part of his life on a farm in this vicinity. His wife preceded him in death two years ago. Members of the immediate family who survive are, one son, Bernard Poremba of Withee, two daughters, Mrs. Stasia Korenkewicz, Thorp, and Mae Irene Kollenda, Chicago, and two brothers, Walter and Wallace, also of Chicago.

Services were conducted at the home by Rev. J. Rapala of Lublin, at St. Hedwig’s Church by Rev. F.A. Kulig, assisted by Rev. J. Rapala. The remains were laid to rest in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery. The pallbearers were: Wm. Simkus, Anton Malinowski, Jos. F. Nowobielski, John Nowobielski, Albert Patchak, and Stanley Mikrut.
