Gruescki, Helen (4 SEP 1937)

On Sept. 4th, 1937, at 9 a.m. at the St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Gilman, Wis., Helen, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Gruescki, of Aurora, became the bride of Mr. Stanley A. Dubicki, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Dubicki of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) The Rev. Father Kolman officiated.

The attendants were Julia Gruescki of Chicago, sister of the bride, and Mr. Alois Dubicki of Chicago, brother of the groom, Ida Markowski of Thorp, and Paul Grusescki of Chicago, Wanda Nichels of Thorp and Edward Gruescki. The maid of honor was Mrs. Chris Price of Thorp, sister of the bride.

A reception for about 300 persons was held at the home of the bride’s parents, where 12 and 6 o’clock dinners were served and prepared by Mrs. Joe Czech of Thorp. Dancing was enjoyed in a new pavilion.

The bride is a graduate of the Gilman High School and the groom is a graduate of the Thorp High School. They will make their home with the groom’s parents on a farm near Thorp, when they return from a trip to Chicago and the Wis. Dells.
