Wetzel, Mildred (28 OCT 1939)

At the Lutheran parsonage, 413 So. Chestnut St., Marshfield, at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon, Oct. 28th, the Rev. H. F. Matter united in marriage Miss Mildred Wetzel, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wetzel, Town of Colby, and Therlow B. Wolfe, son of Mrs. Ernest Kowalk, R. 1, Unity. The bride was attired in a navy blue suit with accessories to match and wore a shower bouquet of tea roses and mixed flowers.

Miss Laura Evelyn Wolfe, oldest sister of the groom, as bridesmaid wore a navy blue suit with matching accessories and a shoulder bouquet similar to the bride’s.

Lawrence Wetzel, youngest brother of the bride, was best man. Both Mr. Wolfe and Mr. Wetzel wore dark suits. A reception followed the ceremony at the home of the bride’s parents, where a 5:30 wedding dinner was served to the immediate families and a few friends.

In the evening a dancing party was enjoyed at the Oakwood pavilion. The couple will reside in Colby, where the groom is employed, and will be at home to their friends after Dec. 1st.
