W. SELVES BURIED IN NEILLSVILLE CEMETERY

Neillsville, July 1--William Selves, former Neillsville resident who died at Tomahawk Sunday, was buried yesterday in the Neillsville cemetery after services held at the home of Richard Selves, a brother living near Neillsville, Wis. Selves is remembered widely by Neillsville pioneers as having been buried in a well cave-in at the Clark county fairgrounds for more than 24 hours, 40 years ago. He was rescued after a pipe had been driven into the debris to provide him with air. Selves, whose home was at Lac du Flambeau, was one of the two men who discovered the body of Cora Belle Hackett, for whose murder the notorious George W. Perry is being held.
