Meyer, Anita (Marriage - 7 June 1933)

A very pretty wedding took place at the Trinity Lutheran church at Unity Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock, Rev. J. A. Olson reading the marriage ceremony, when Miss Anita Meyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Meyer of Unity became the bride of Mr. Harlowe Hibbard, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Hibbard of Unity. Miss Ivy Meyer, and Miss Albertine Syth acted as bridesmaids and the groom was attended by Arthur Sorenson and Carl Domer.

The bride was attired in an ankle length gown of blossom pink and carried a shower bouquet of roses, carnations and lilies of the valley. Miss Meyer was attired in a dress of Nile green and Miss Syth in an ankle length dress of rose beige and both carried arm bouquets.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents and a wedding supper was served, covers being laid for twenty-five. The home was nicely decorated in pink and white for the occasion. In the evening a free wedding dance was given at the Oakwood pavilion which was largely attended by friends and relatives.

The newlyweds left on a wedding trip to Seattle, Wash., and other points and will be at home on their farm west of Unity after July 1st.
