Housley, William Standifird (29 Aug. 1885 - 20 Feb. 1933)

William Standifird Housley, a former Colbyite, departed from this life on February 20th, 1933 in Iowa, at the age of sixty-eight years, six months and twenty-five days, apoplexy being the cause of his departure. Funeral services were held east of Clio, Iowa, and internment was made in the Allentown cemetery by the side of his two children.

The deceased was born on August 29, 1885, in Wayne county, Iowa, and was united in marriage to Ellen Berry, to which union seven children were born, one of whom died in infancy, and one when five years of age. Besides his wife and children, he leaves to mourn his departure eighteen grand children, fifteen of whom are living, and four sisters and two brothers.

The deceased spent most of his life in Wayne county, Iowa, with the exception of three years in Kansas and eight years in Wisconsin. He returned to the old home place about one year ago. He and his wife spent nearly forty-eight years together.
