Etten, Angeline (9 APR 1905 - 2 DEC 1936)

Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.) friends were greatly shocked this week to learn of the sudden death of Miss Angeline Etten, which occurred at Milwaukee Wednesday morning. Although Miss Etten had not been feeling well for a few days, there had been no anxiety as to the seriousness of her condition and her passing came as a complete shock to her family and to her many friends. She became seriously ill and was rushed to a Milwaukee hospital for an emergency operation Wednesday morning and passed away there.

Angeline Petronella Etten was born in the town of Little Black, April 9, 1905, the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Etten. She grew to young womanhood here and in 1923 graduated from the Taylor County Normal at Medford. Soon after graduating she left for Milwaukee where she has been employed for the past twelve years.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Stetsonville this Saturday morning at 10 o’clock and interment will be made in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert E. Etten; four sisters, Mrs. Edward Gius, nee Verona, Mrs. Leo Streit, nee Flavia, and Miss Marie Etten of Milwaukee and Miss Erma Etten, at home; and two brothers, Alvin Etten and Laurence Etten of Dorchester, Wis. She is also survived by her grandmother, Mrs. John Etten of Appleton, and her grandfather, Henry Vande Voort of Greenleaf.

The many friends from Dorchester and vicinity join us in offering sincerest sympathy to the family in their sorrow. A complete obituary will be published next week.
