Hello Bill, greetings from westfalia to you and to all members of the HEMP Clan. Our LENZ roots are in Regenthin, Kreis Arnswalde, Neumark also and we have HEMP in our LENZ-line too. Our first known HEMP is JOHANN, b abt 1790. His son, also JOHANN, was b 13 Jul 1817 in Regenthin, d 19 Mai 1876 in Regenthin. A daughter of JOHANN II is JOHANNA Albertine HEMP, b 22 Jul 1857. She married to one of our LENZ forefathers. Because all the places, Regenthin, Heidekavel, Reiherort, were small and very close to each other, I´m sure your and our HEMP's are related.
