Fakes, Irene (Marriage - 21 Oct. 1931)

A quiet but interesting wedding took place at Neillsville Wednesday, October 21, 1931, when Miss Irene Fakes, daughter of Mrs. Selma Koerner, became the bride of Mr. Matt Uerling, son of Mr. Wm. Uerling. Miss Ida Fakes, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid and the groom was attended by his cousin, Lester Schaffer.

The bride was attired in a beautiful dress of brown flat crepe with slippers and hat to match and her bouquet consisted of fall flowers. The bridesmaid’s dress was also of brown flat crepe with slippers and hat to match.

A reception was given at the home of the bride’s sister, Mrs. Adolph Erdmann, the home being nicely decorated in pink and white and autumn foliage for the occasion.

The newlyweds will make their home on the home farm of the groom’s.

On Sunday evening, a house shower was given at the home of the bride’s sister, Mrs. Adolph Erdmann.

The Phonograph joins their many friends in extending best wishes.
