Premeau, Albina (4 SEP 1860 - 9 NOV 1935)

Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.) friends were saddened to learn of the death of Mrs. Nels Premeau which occurred at her Stetsonville home Saturday, Nov. 9, 1935, at 12:55 in the afternoon. Funeral services were held from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Stetsonville Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock with the Rev. J.A. Seeboth officiating. Burial was made in the Stetsonville Cemetery with Oral and Ernest Langteau, Dave Peterson, Len La Berge, Joseph Springer, and Nick Hoff acting as pallbearers.

Alvina La Berge Kinney was born in Canada Sept. 4, 1860 and was 75 years, 2 months and 5 days old at time of death. She grew to young womanhood in her native home, coming to Marinette, Wis., several years previous to her moving to Stetsonville. On Jan. 9, 1897 she was united in marriage to Nels Premeau and has made her home at Stetsonville since that time. Mr. Premeau passed away on Feb. 10, 1933. Of her five children, two have preceded their mother in death, one daughter, Jennie, and one son, Albert, who passed away last year.

Mrs. Premeau leaves three daughters, Mrs. L.J. Aschenbrenner, Mrs. E.H. Ruhmer, both of Park Falls, and Mrs. A.J. Olson, Stetsonville; two sisters, Mrs. Lena La Fave, Morris, Minn., and Mrs. O. Amberson, Pasadena, Calif.; one brother, Albert La Berge in Saskatchewan, Canada; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, besides a host of friends who mourn her passing.

During her years at Stetsonville, interspersed with visits to Dorchester, Mrs. Premeau endeared herself to many folks in both communities who will greatly miss her cheerful disposition and the spirit of true friendliness which emanated from her. The entire circle of friends join us in offering deepest sympathy to the family in their sorrow.

Out of town relatives and friends attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. George B. Aschenbrenner, Fifield; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Aschenbrenner, Mr. and Mrs. E.H. Ruhmer, Mrs. Frank Chriske, Mrs. J. Steiner, and Mrs. George Teeters of Park Falls; Miss Gladys Ruhmer and Mrs. Ed McKinley of Ashland; Vilas Ruhmer of Madison; Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Premeau of Westboro; Mrs. Martin Ellingson of Milan; Mrs. Lena La Fave of Morris, Minn.; Mrs. Lizzie Develis of Fond du Lac; Mrs. Ben Anderson, Ken Aschenbrenner, Mr. and Mrs. John Hutterer, Mrs. Charles Fahrenbach and Mrs. Peter Liberty of Medford; Mrs. A.J. Premeau and family, Miss Camilla Truman, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Kaarup, Mrs. Joe Schober, Miss Sarah and Matt Leslie of Dorchester, Wis.
