Erickson, Fern Audrey #2 (20 Apr. 1904 - 1 Apr. 1931)

Mrs. Talbert Erickson, whose maiden name was Fern Audrey Pederson, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Pederson of Colby, died Wednesday, April 1, 1931, after a short illness. On April 4, she was laid to rest in Windfall cemetery at Granton, Wis.

The deceased was born April 20, 1904, at Ocheyedan, Iowa, at which place she lived until 1908 when she moved with her parents to Greenwood, Wis. Here she grew to womanhood and graduated from high school. She then made her home at Stevens Point until she was married to Talbert Erickson of Marshfield, Wis., on June 1, 1926. They made their home at Marshfield for two years, on a farm at Auburndale for one year, and, in November 1928, they moved to Granton where they lived ever since.

On August 7, 1929, a daughter, Doris Reva, was born and passed away immediately. She was laid to rest at Granton.

On March 29, 1931, Mrs. Erickson was taken ill very suddenly and on March 30 was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield where it was hoped she might regain her health, but, at 3:30 on Wednesday, April 1, she passed on to her eternal home.

In her early life, she was affiliated with the Methodist Episcopal church and was ever active in church and Sunday school work. She was a most kind and loving wife and was ever ready to do what she could to help others.

She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, Talbert Erickson of Granton, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Pederson, a sister, Velda Pederson, a brother, Truman L. Pederson, all of Colby, Wis. Also many other relatives and a host of friends.
