Morse, Marion Ruth Ferris (22 Mar. 1898 - 30 Oct. 1930)

Mrs. Marion Ruth Ferris Morse, a former Colbyite living at Loyal and a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ferris of Colby, Wis., died at the Marshfield hospital last Thursday, October 30th, complications of four days duration being the cause of her departure to the distant shore. Funeral services were held at Loyal Wisconsin, Monday, November 3rd, Rev. Franklin officiating, and internment was made in the Loyal cemetery.

The deceased was born in Oconomowoc, Wis., March 22, 1898, thus reaching the age of thirty-two years, seven months and eight days. She came to Clark county with her parents in 1910. She was married to George W. Morse at Marshfield, Wis., August 4th, 1920, to which union five children were born, three of which died in infancy. The two children still living are Altha Fern Morse and Gladys Fannie Morse. Besides her husband, her parents and her children, her death is also mourned by two brothers, Harold R. Ferris and James A. Ferris.

Those from out of town who were at Loyal for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Schmidt, Horicon, Wisconsin; James Cambell, Ed. Thompson, Rubicon, Wisconsin; Geo. Ferris and son, Elmer, Oconomowoc, Wisconsin; Mrs. Archie Powell, of Spring Valley, Wisconsin; and Mrs. Archie Judd, Spring Valley.

The deceased will be remembered by her friends as a kind and pleasant lady of an affectionate disposition. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors, Colby, Wis.
