Hollman, Magdalene (28 Sept. 1869 - 8 Mar. 1930)

Mrs. Rudolph Hollman died Saturday noon, March 8th, at the hospital at Chippewa Falls, pneumonia being the cause of her departure. Funeral services were held at the Catholic church in Colby, Rev. H. Lachnit officiating, and internment was made in the Colby cemetery.

The deceased was born in School Hill, Manitowoc county, September 28, 1869, thus reaching the age of sixty years, five months and eight days. She was married to Mr. Rudolph Hollman at Colby on September 26, 1893, and, after living in Phillips, Wisconsin, for one year, they purchased a farm a mile and a half from Colby which has been their home ever since. Mrs. Hollman has always been a faithful member of the Catholic church and a member of the Christian Mothers’ Society and O. A. O. Club.

She is survived by her husband, three daughters, four sisters and two grand children. The daughters are Mary and Dorothy of Colby and Mrs. Albert Hein of Stratford. Her four sisters are Mrs. Steve Teporteen, Mrs. William Fecker, Mrs. George Fecker and Mrs. Frank Gutchow, all of Colby. Her two grand chidren are Robert and Patricia Hein of Stratford.

She was a woman of strong Christian character and always ready to lend a helping hand in the time of need - both in acts of kindness and in words. She was a good mother and neighbor, and, when the news reached her many friends of her death, it was as a shock barred with pain and sorrow.

The out of town people here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Blaschka and family of Osceola, Wis., Mrs. Ervin Schimbe and daughter of New London, Wis., Mr. Wm. Benversi and nephew of School Hill, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Pfaff and family of Stetsonville, Mrs. John Frinak of Menasha, Mr. and Mrs. John Hansel of Stetsonville, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Hein and family of Stratford, Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Jakel of Stetsonville, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hein and family of Stratford.
