Greeler, Minnie J. (10 Sept. 1884 - 26 Nov. 1971)

Neillsville, Wis. - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church here for Mrs. Minnie J. Greeler, 87, of Neillsville, who died late Friday at Memorial Home. The Rev. Norman W. Lindloff will officiate and burial will be made in the Neillsville, Wis. cemetery.

Friends may call at the Georgas Funeral Home.

The former Minnie Schwantes was born Sept. 10, 1884, in the town of Unity, Clark County, and was educated in the Spencer area. She was married on Oct. 4, 1904, at Spencer, to Charles Greeler and they farmed in Clark County. Her husband died in 1957, and she had resided at Memorial Home here since August of 1968.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and a charter member of its Ladies Aid, and a member of the Good Neighbors Homemaker Club.

Survivors include a son, Erwin, route 1, Neillsville; a sister, Mrs. William (Linda) Naedler Sr., Granton; three brothers, Roy Schwantes, Owen; Harry Schwantes, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and Art Schwantes, Minneapolis; four grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.
