Gemmeke, Iola #2 (28 OCT 1936)

On Wednesday, Oct. 28th, 1936, at 10 a.m. at the M.E. Church parsonage in Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), occurred the marriage of Miss Iola Gemmeke of Greenwood and Mr. Emory Starks of Roger Creek. They were attended by the groom’s sister, Miss Evelyn Starks and Hugh Glendenning, of Grandview. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Gemmeke, prominent citizens of Greenwood and has been a successful teacher in the public schools. The groom is a son of Mrs. Sadie Starks and is associated with his brother, Everett in the farming and trucking business.

The newlyweds will make their home in this community.
